The Lore of $SIMBA
So, who is SIMBA? First and foremost, she is a Queen, not a king! She’s impossibly cute but also a certified menace to society. Such baddie fr. a true diva that has every male cat running, yet accepts none of them.
The Origin Story
The tale of her name, $SIMBA, begins in a simple backyard garden. I found her there, barely a month old, in truly terrible condition. One eye was completely sealed shut, the other barely open. She was covered in mud and dirt, clearly starving, scared, and dangerously frail.
Before this, I liked animals, but I was never "into them." I certainly wasn't the kind of person who meowed at every cat on the street (haha). My family was actively anti-animal, so adopting a cat was never an option.
But I couldn't just stand by and do nothing when I saw her. That was the moment my heart told me: You have to help her. I followed that instinct and I’m so glad I did. I immediately started the process of caring for her, beginning with a trip to the vet and a daily regimen of cleaning and medication for her eyes. After days of dedicated care, her beautiful eyes were finally wide open!
Gaining Trust and Finding a Name
In those early days, she wanted nothing to do with me 🙂 hissing and running (even if it was only a meter away, lol). I slowly won her trust, feeding her all day and simply sitting quietly near her, minding my own business. She gradually calmed down and got used to my presence.
After gaining her trust, we started exploring the home together (when my mom wasn't around ofc). Simba loves exploring! Day by day, i became her favorite hooman and she became my favorite cat.
Simba could have easily died that week. But she stayed strong and fought for her life. That incredible resilience is why i named her Simba. In my eyes, she is a little lioness who refused to give up.
The SIMBA Prophet Journey
Caring for Simba was a profoundly humbling experience; it significantly increased my emotional intelligence and empathy. It turns out that having a cat is actually pretty awesome! it’s like having a mix of a sibling and a child.
Simba was saved. But the sad truth is she is far from the only cat in this situation. I've since started caring for and feeding many street cats, buying tons of food for them. But i can't feed every single cat in the world and frankly, established institutions and governments largely fail to address this crisis adequately. (oh btw F Governments) That, my friends, is what launched me on the journey of The SIMBA Prophet.
With the help of a growing community (and the eventual support of my parents, who finally started to love Simba and the other cats), we are building something bigger.
The SIMBA Foundation and Cat Alliance exists for this mission. Whoever holds a $SIMBA token has made this mission possible. We want to create a better society for humans and cats alike. That's where the Foundation's pillars are set.
